Malaren and Barb went bike riding today (May 24, 2009) and when they came back,
Malaren said "Poppa, I know you're going to say no, but ... can you take my trainng
wheels off my bike?" I was so read yo say know --- since I always do when she asks
a question like that --- and I blurted out "OF COURSE!

She did great. After the pictures below --- her very first attempt --- she rode blocks
and blocks with me. PROUD POPPA!!

Okay, other pics: A new friend in town. I called hm Pretty Boy.

Aunt Annie was in Texas recently (no, really, this isn't a joke) and had some hand-made cowboy boots
made for Malaren --- with pink uppers!

Jumping rope inside.

One of Aunt Annie's friend's kid's drew this picture of Annie and Malaren. Cute!

Chillin' on a Monday morning drawing and writing in her journal. She composed a story based around
three words from the teacher: volcano, gorilla, and tomato.

BEACH! First time!

Second sitting of the portrait. More pink!

Blowing bubbles in yard.

Ah! Malaren played the tiger on the railing of the front porch. This actually happened before the bike riding
and let me know that she's really developed her balance. While talking on the phone to mom.
